How to Use
As a Slow Feeder Bowl: Spread your dog's regular kibble or wet food across the waiting dogs pattern. The raised ridges create a puzzle-like feeding experience that forces dogs to eat slowly and work for their food, preventing gulping and improving digestion.
As a Lick Mat: Spread peanut butter, yogurt, pureed fruits, or wet food across the pattern for extended licking enrichment. The shallow design and intricate waiting dogs pattern maximize licking time.
As a Frozen Treat: Fill with your dog's favorite spreadable treats and freeze for 2-3 hours to create a long-lasting cooling activity that's perfect for hot days, crate training, or calming anxious dogs.
As a Puzzle Feeder: Scatter kibble or small treats across the pattern to create a foraging challenge that engages your dog's natural scavenging instincts and provides mental exercise.
Why Choose the Waiting Dogs Design eTray?
Unlike deep slow feeder bowls that can frustrate flat-faced breeds or traditional lick mats that only work with spreadable treats, the eTray's shallow design accommodates all food types while providing the same slow-feeding benefits. The waiting dogs pattern is specifically engineered to create an optimal feeding challengedifficult enough to slow eating but not so complex that dogs become frustrated.
Health Benefits: Slow feeding prevents dangerous bloating (gastric dilatation-volvulus or GDV), reduces choking risk, improves nutrient absorption, and promotes better digestion. When dogs eat too quickly, they swallow excess air which can lead to bloating, discomfort, and in severe cases, life-threatening stomach torsion. The eTray's raised ridges force dogs to eat at a natural, healthy pace.
Celebrates Canine Loyalty: The Waiting Dogs design features charming illustrations of patient, loyal dogs in various waiting posessitting attentively, looking up hopefully, and displaying the devoted patience that makes dogs such beloved companions. This heartwarming pattern celebrates the special bond between dogs and their humans, honoring the countless moments our dogs wait for usby the door, at mealtime, or simply for our attention and love.
Meaningful Design: Every dog owner knows the feeling of being greeted by a waiting dogthat moment of pure joy and unconditional love when you return home. The Waiting Dogs pattern captures this beautiful aspect of canine nature, making every mealtime a reminder of your dog's loyalty and devotion. It's more than just a feeding bowlit's a celebration of the dog-human bond.
Mental Enrichment Value: The licking and foraging action releases endorphins that naturally calm anxious dogs, making mealtime a stress-relieving activity. Dogs need mental stimulation just as much as physical exercise, and the waiting dogs pattern provides cognitive challenges that prevent boredom and reduce destructive behaviors like excessive barking, chewing, or digging.
Perfect for Brachycephalic Breeds: Flat-faced dogs like pugs, bulldogs, French bulldogs, Boston terriers, and Pekingese often struggle with deep bowls due to their shortened snouts. The eTray's shallow design allows these breeds to access their food comfortably without straining their necks or faces. This reduces mealtime stress and prevents the breathing difficulties that can occur when flat-faced dogs struggle with deep bowls.
Versatile Enrichment Tool: Use the eTray for regular meals, as a calming lick mat during grooming or vet visits, as a treat dispenser for training rewards, or as a puzzle feeder to challenge your dog's problem-solving skills. The shallow design makes it accessible for puppies learning to eat, senior dogs with mobility issues, and brachycephalic breeds that struggle with traditional bowls. One product, multiple usesexceptional value.
Charming Aesthetic: The blue color with adorable dog illustrations makes this tray beautiful enough to leave out as part of your home decor. Unlike plain feeding bowls, the Waiting Dogs design adds personality and charm to your feeding area. It's a conversation starter that fellow dog lovers will appreciate and admire.
Gift-Worthy Design: The heartwarming waiting dogs theme makes this eTray a perfect gift for dog lovers, new puppy parents, or anyone who appreciates the special bond with their canine companion. It's a thoughtful present that combines functionality with emotional meaningcelebrating the loyalty and patience that makes dogs such treasured family members.
Promotes Patience: Ironically, while the design celebrates waiting dogs, the slow feeder function teaches dogs patience during mealtime. Instead of gulping food in seconds, dogs must work slowly and methodically to access their meal. This enforced patience during feeding can translate to better impulse control in other areas of life.
Easy Care & Durability: The FDA-compliant material is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning (top rack recommended) and freezer safe for frozen treat preparation. The durable construction withstands daily use, and the non-slip base keeps the tray stable during enthusiastic eating or licking sessions. The pink and blue colors resist staining and maintain their vibrant, cheerful appearance.
